Paris… And then il stop, Promise!

He surprised me with Paris. Is there anything more to say?
Id never been to Paris… Id always wanted to but just never taken the opportunity. But I'm glad, as it made it even more of an experience. Anthony was only interested in doing my choice of activity. He'd researched and booked a Hotel in an area he knew Id like - Montmartre, the bohemian area of the city, market stalls, antiques, art and cobbled streets. He chose well. A pleasant walk from both La Sacre Coeur one way and a huge maze of a Parisian antique market to get lost in the other. He let me take as many photos as I liked and even took the camera from me to take photos of me (through which I learnt I wasn't altogether photogenic but I'll take what I can get). Needless to say I felt totally unjustifiably spoilt.

He loved seeing this you tube sensation perform live

A short walk from our hotel and I recognise the world through pinterest!

Street food, sienna and Anthony.

Everything about Paris was perfect. Especially the company.
Still Grinning over it.
Two Nights and 3 days… longest time we had been away from the kids (My mother in law is a saint), we loved the get away and we were looking forward to returning to them.

30th cont….

The next day, Anthony went and picked the kids up from his mums, Will serenaded me (still in bed) with the birthday cake he'd made me. Anthony had organised a little picnic on the river with friends…… It was a pretty good chilled day……

Anthony, in all his brilliance, totally out did him self…. to think there was a time when he wrapped up my own shoes for a Christmas present - I thought Id lost them but in fact I'd just left them at his flat! And in all my shallowness I genuinely love him more for all the thought that went into it…. He had organised a surprise a day for about a week… some of them where simple, saving a gift for me to open or a family trip strawberry picking…..

A fave of Anna and me, Strawberrys in teeth included.

and some of them where…. well totally unexpected…. les mis being one of them….

We are not big gift/gesture extravagant people (at least I don't see myself as such), so I was pretty surprised by it all. For some of his plans we where just too whacked to do and rain chequed for another time….. But just to be clear… we had been budgeting tight for a while, I just lucked in in that the exchange/ transfer for the flat came through right before my birthday….. So we felt like a little indulgence and celebration was justified….. or maybe Im just trying to still justify it all….

At Les Mis he told me this would be a clue for where we were going tomorrow, when we got home I had to pack for Paris…. TBC… Unless you are totally SICK of all this (I wouldnt blame you!)
