Sunny Sunday.....

Soakin' up these Sunny days before they disappear, we went and hung out with Andy and Rach over there part of London town

Andy has a new toy....he's taking a picture of a Caterpillar hanging from a tree????!

Any one familiar with a Blomfield and a camera knows its the ladies in their lives that get harassed....papa paparazzi!....... poor Rach.

confession....

So iv decided i need to be a bit more hard core to shift these baby pounds once and for all....its for economical reasons as much as anythin else cos i still don't fit into my Pre-pregnant clothes and i cant afford to buy more! But on Sunday morning I went looking in the fridge for something to inspire me for breakfast and there it was..........Like a Big PACMAN smiling at me! The Cheese cake from the night before....

So I'm sure you already guessed it was a cheese cake brecky for me that morning!

Tis the season to be Picnicking

This gorgeous weather keeps bringing us outdoors for picnics.....iv decided spring is psychologically the best British season, here's why....

First of all you don't have any high expectations for spring, so it really cant disappoint, you can forgive it if there is a few off days, and the good days feel like an extra bonus bringing hope of a long hot summer as they lull you into a false sense of security.
British summers on the other hand cant do no right, we have high expectations for them and wont forgive them if they bring but one rainy day (which they inevitably do), we hold a grudge against British summers which are never forgotten, blame it for ruining plans for beach barbeque's, camping trips and garden parties and then each year expect summer to right the wrong it did the previous year by bringing us the best summer on record, increasing our expectations of what summer ought to be each year, entering into a vicious cycle of disappointment...mean while spring gets away scot free like the favourite child of the family!

So here's to enjoying Spring who really did do us proud this week with temperatures in the 80's and 90's!!

On Friday i was told William and Anthony had planned a little surprise day out for me ( a little treat they felt i needed?) and that lunch and dinner would be taken care of by them......So Saturday we found ourselves in a place called Virginia waters near Windsor..its a royal park, lake and gardens and it really is beautiful if ever you find yourself down that neck of the woods you really should go! its about half an hour drive from our house here in London.

Hello Dream House..........
On closer inspection it turned out to be a boat house just along from this dream house.......

.....So I'l take them both thanks....I would like to be the Lady of the manor!

If you take a closer look at the pic below you'l find a couple havin a right sesh in the background...just to the right of my baby rolls!....hehahe
The gardens are beautiful this time of year...this was one of my fave parts...a pink maze type thing...the colours and scent was IMMENSE!

Anthony went all out with treating me, he cooked a three course meal for me from scratch I was particularly impressed with this GORGEOUS cheese cake....it was a taste sensation!!!

...i was rather miffed all day by the occasion to be honest...i kept sayin 'i dont understand, its not my birthday...its not an anniversary...i don't get it????' ..i guess we really shouldn't question these things and just be grateful heha....and i was!

one year married.....

Dear Anthony,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

And Thank you for a year filled with fun and..... er some learning experiences!

On the 2nd of May 2010, Anthony and i celebrated our first anniversary....I wont sugar coat it, our first year was tough on me because of the phsyco pregnancy sickness i endured, im sure anthony wondered 'who have i married?' when soon after marriage i assumed my position in bed and pretty much stayed there for nine months groaning with a sick bowl! (not to mention that for a good part of it anthony had to sleep on the couch as i couldnt stomach any movement in the bed). The cheery pre-married lizzie was no where to be seen, the hoped anticipations of anthony's new wife cooking delicious meals and baking lots of cakes where quickly demolished (although that wasnt just due to the sickness...im jus not that kinda girl) .....but now what do we have to show after one year of marriage???

This little 3 month old boy! quite an achievement id say, married and a 3 month old all with in a year! And this is definatly the high light of our marriage so far, and i guess our life so far! The Birth of William.

We where up in Liverpool on this date so had easy access to a baby sitter (my mum), and made plans to go out and have a perfectly lovely time......but these plans got scuppered when i got sick! so we took a gentle walk down Liverpool docks, went to the church we got married in and had a little reminisce, drove around and listened to some tunes that remind us of that time of year and said some nice sentimental things to each other..........it actually turned out quite lovely in all its simplicity and saved us a few bob!

Dear Wedding day,

oh how I loved you...from the fresh blue may morning, waking up and seeing my
wedding dress hanging in my window ready for me to finally wear, getting ready in surprisingly chilled anticipation, getting nervous when the cars didn’t come to pick us up in time, walking into a chapel PACKED with beaming faces, holding Anthony’s hand listening to speakers share funny stories and sentiments, enjoying the sweet music, taking vows and lots of pictures.......enjoying a sunny reception out doors amongst the blue bells, feeling swamped with how many people there where there but loving it and wishing I had longer to chat and chat and CHAT to everyone.

The peaceful drive to the temple and a perfect and simple ceremony where we where married for time and
all eternity....and not feeling freaked out by this!

...and then back to a party filled room of friends covering us with
confetti, a fantastic band and a first dance to 'man in the mirror'...too much candy floss, one to many crepes, thrown into the back of trashed car, filled with balloons and footballs and waved off into the night...oh how I absolutely loved every minute off you 2nd of may 2009 and wish I could do it again!

....yes I loved you wedding day.... x

So in April I......

Made an Easter egg hunt for Anthony (yes my 35yr old husband had an Easter egg hunt...think i need some kids of a playful age quick!)

Ate easter eggs

Took the car and William and went up to Liverpool to see friends and family.

Visited the Tudor town of Chester (My eldest brother Danny lives there with his family),

Was a famous actress for a day.....( so i did some arts/theatre workshops with some kids on Mudchute farm in east London, when making puppets a little girl came up to me and asked 'who drew the cows head?' I answered :'that would be Mary, she's the artist'.
The little girls eyes widened and mouth opened with a gasp...shortly after that Mary had a que of children lining up for her autograph...the little girl had told all the other children Mary was a famous artist. To divert the attention Mary told them that i was an actress!!...and then i had children coming up to me all day asking 'miss are you a famous actress?' and 'can I have your autograph?', in there east London cockney accents. Of course i couldn't disappoint there little amazed faces so i signed the autograph trying to explain that i wasn't famous but i don't think they wanted to hear that so i just gave up! My autograph now adorns about 20 seven year old bedroom walls in east London, how proud i am!)

Had my sister Jo Ann and her boy Reuben come stay with us for a few days,

Took the boat down the river Thames to Greenwich (with my sister and Kelly),

Had a picnic in Greenwich park,

Went to Lindsey Plantins film themed party (i didn't dress up as i came from a youth dance id been helpin out at....was a little sad i didn't dress up!)
more photos and film to follow!

Did some sunbathing in the lovely hot weather,

Read The Help by Kathrine Stockett, ( bit disappointed with the ending),

Bought some running shoes and enjoyed sniffing them for that lovely 'new trainer' smell they had, expected them to make me skinny just by purchasing them (same way i expected the Davina fitness DVDs and big pink exercise ball to make skinny on purchase...still waiting! meanwhile Anthony is getting sick of a huge inflatable ball cluttering up our tight on space flat!)

Finally used new trainers and have started running in the morning along the river at the back of my house..i love it!(have to keep reminding myself that i do each time i go) however am disappointed am still not skinny after a couple of runs! i don't understand why???

Went back up to Liverpool as Anthony had to fix up his Liverpool house before re-renting it so i got to have more catch up time with friends (Becky, Forest, kia, Lindsey, Ruth, Anna...) and family.

Celebrated Big sis Jo Ann's 30th on a windy beach! ended up just hiding from the wind in the sand dunes before giving up...I had warned them it would be windy as I worked on Crosby beach in June 08 and it was windy every day, but the fact that there is a wind farm built next to the beach is also a big fat give away!!

Got Sick. That just about sums up April...

ITS ELECTION DAY!

...And being a liverpool girl I will of course be voting labour....although Brown is a plonker, im voting for the party in hope we get a re-shuffle (ideally id like to see a complete change on the voting sytem cos that is a palava!)... i will never be a tory toff,....i still remember that rhyme we used to sing in the school play ground as a little girl...... The one where you would have a stick woman with ginger curly hair drawn onto the inside of one palm, and a mashed up version o the inside of the other, then we'd sing:

'here's margeret thatcher, throw 'er up an catch 'er, squish, squash, squish, squash, (actions to go) Theres Margeret Thatcher' (presenting the squashed up thatcher at the end), heha!

we'l be up late tonight with our popcorn watching the vote come in!
